About
A magazine for people who are not satisfied with the first chart.
Cultura Data-Driven is an independent digital magazine from Brazil about data science, artificial intelligence, business, technology, engineering, society, education and literature. Editorial signature: Reality sends signals.
Manifesto
The right question matters more than the prettiest chart.
Reality sends signals all the time: in the line that grows, the product nobody can find, the construction project running late, the match that turns around, the budget that does not add up. Most of them go unnoticed.
This magazine exists to observe them calmly, ask better questions and tell good stories about what we find. Data is about people — and so are decisions.
Editorial principles
Evidence before opinion
Numbers, studies and claims come with an identified source and a link to the original document whenever possible.
Clear authorship
Every text says who wrote it. Third-party content — such as interviews from other shows — is labeled as such.
A chronicle is a chronicle
Literary and opinion pieces are signed and labeled. Fiction is never presented as reporting.
Commercial independence
Sponsorship and branded content, when they exist, will always be labeled and never set the agenda. See how it works.
Transparency about AI
AI-generated images are noted in the caption. Translations are labeled. Drafts are not published as approved texts.
Visible corrections
Errors are corrected in the text itself. Found one? Write to gustavo@coutosantos.com.
Founder and editor
Gustavo Santos
A civil engineer who moved into data without leaving the construction site behind. A data and artificial intelligence consultant and strategist, he writes about decisions, statistics, business and everyday life — and signs the chronicles of the project A Realidade Dá Sinais — 365 Crônicas.
“Engineering taught me to observe real systems. Data taught me to measure them. AI expanded our ability to interpret them and act on them.”
